Faculty

The Rotman Institute of Philosophy counts over thirty faculty members who play a key role in the life of the institute. By conducting research programs and organizing other scholarly activities, faculty members contribute in making the Institute a captivating and collaborative environment. Faculty members also involve graduate students in their projects and participate in their training.

Faculty members in the Institute come from different departments and institutions. Many are drawn from Western’s Department of Philosophy, but an important number are scientists and humanists from across Western, and around the world.

The Rotman Institute also has a Visiting Fellow Program for faculty members interested in working at the Institute for one or two academic terms. Visiting Fellows are provided with an office and a stipend to cover moving expenses, and have access to resources and services at Western.

Faculty Members can also support the Rotman Institute by becoming Affiliates. By doing so they can participate in the ongoing activities of the Institute, including talks, conferences, and other events.
